Telstar tests four Dutch players
Telstar accepted four unemployed Dutch players for trials, including Jean-Kevin Augustin. These include Prince Aning, Gabi Cascili, Fabio Rust and Fofin Turay, all of whom were recently left without clubs.
Four Dutch players are being tested at the Telstar club, including Jean-Kevin Augustin. In addition to the Frenchman, three more players came to the trials, who have two things in common: they are all citizens of the Netherlands and do not currently have a club contract.
These include Prince Aning, Gabi Cascili, Fabio Rust and Fofin Turay. Aning was previously under contract with Borussia Dortmund, where he played for the second team. He played just 23 minutes across three games last season due to a lingering Achilles tendon injury. Cascili rose to prominence with SC Cambuur, where he made 30 appearances in the 2024/25 season, but was unable to play for his club last season due to a torn cruciate ligament.
Rust went through the Feyenoord youth school, but since this summer he has also been left without a club. Last season he played for Feyenoord Youth, failing to achieve the desired promotion. Turay came from the FC Groningen academy but was loaned to TOP Oss last season, where he played seven matches. Like Augustin, Aning, Cascili, Rust and Turay now have the opportunity to prove themselves in Velsen-Süd. Testing began last week on Tuesday.
