Pierpaolo Marino has been appointed to Bari: his son Ernesto could take over the role of sporting director

Bari today announced the appointment of Pierpaolo Marino as CEO, who will be responsible for rebuilding the team after relegation in Serie C. Pierpaolo has already worked with the De Laurentiis family, and his invitation to the post of CEO is due to the need to revive the club after financial difficulties.

However, rumors also indicate that Pierpaolo's son, Ernesto Marino, could take the position of sporting director or head the club's scouting department. Ernesto, a former footballer, played for clubs such as Sanremese and Juve Stabia. He also worked as a coach at Sorrento in the 2014/15 season and later served as technical manager at Campobasso.

Despite the fact that Ernesto retired from active football and began managing a winery in Avellino, he continued to follow football events, which may indicate his readiness to return to professional sports. If the idea comes to fruition, it could create additional pressure on the club's management and owners, who are already under scrutiny following relegation.
