Former Russian football player Dmitry Bulykin compared the Dutch national team with more successful generations of football in this country. The composition of the team is good, they show a good game, but something is always missing, they must score two goals in each game. And in a penalty shootout, any strong team can lose, which is what happened to Morocco. The Netherlands has had better results in the past. We can say that the generation of 2010 and 2014 were better, and if we take 2008, then Russia beat that team. The Dutch have top players, they should not stumble in the 1/16 finals. Many listened to the predictors who said that the Netherlands was the favorite and put their faith in them. And football is an unpredictable game,” Bulykin said in a conversation with “Championship” correspondent Alexander Ershov. The 2026 FIFA World Cup takes place in the USA, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19. The current world champion is the Argentina national team.
