Germany players call in external physiotherapist due to dissatisfaction with quality of care

Some Germany players have expressed dissatisfaction with the level of physiotherapy care during the training camp for the 2026 World Cup. As a result, at the initiative of team captain Joshua Kimmich, a renowned physical therapist from Winston-Salem was invited to work with more than ten players in a separate room near the hotel, Sky sport reported.

This incident was one of many unusual moments that accompanied the German team's performance at the tournament. Previously, head coach Julian Nagelsmann gave the team a day off to meet with families after the first game, and before the match against Curacao, the players had to cover up the logos of their personal sponsors as directed by FIFA.

The German national team finished its performance at the championship in the 1/16 finals, losing to Paraguay in a penalty shootout (1:1, 3:4). This defeat was the first for the German team in penalty kicks at the World Championships.
