Hogue, who joined the club this summer alongside Qarabag striker Camilo Duran, is only the club's second new signing this season. Sutton believes filling that attacking position was vital as Daizen Maeda left for Ipswich and the team have been without a true centre-forward since Adam Idah left for Swansea a year ago.

"I liked what I saw from him at Bodo/Glimt, but it's still early days for him at Celtic. It's good that he got his goals, but what was more impressive was the way he held the ball, connected and looked like he knew what he was doing. I'll repeat: Celtic won the league last season without a real striker; now they've got one, maybe two, and that's good news for Celtic."
