Among the players who scored at world championships aged 35 and older, the closest pursuers are far behind: Cameroonian Roger Milla has five goals, Frenchman Olivier Giroud has four. The match between Argentina and Austria took place on June 22 in Dallas as part of the 2nd round of the group stage of the 2026 World Cup.
