(ANSA) - NEW YORK, JUNE 13 - Brazilian colors and music fill the streets of New York as the proud green and gold wave prepares for its national team's debut. Samba rhythms sound in bars and pubs, creating an atmosphere of anticipation and celebration. However, the Knicks jerseys are the most popular. Hours before Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the San Antonio Spurs, official Knicks jerseys are nearly sold out except in XXL sizes. The NBA Store has been bombarded by shoppers in recent days and is now running out of stock. Retailers are forced to tell customers that jerseys bearing the names of Jalen Brunson, Karl-Anthony Towns and Josh Hara, the team's three stars, are no longer available. Also popular are the limited edition World Cup T-shirts dedicated to New York, initiated by Mayor Zohran Mamdani. These T-shirts are produced by a local company and are available in three color combinations: black and white, yellow and black and blue and red. (ANSA)
